Fest-(i)-vity

It's been an eventful and rewarding 3 days, SPECTRUM 2011 (the annual cultural festival of NIFT, New Delhi) was awesome! (look out for my next post; a special on the fest :))

This is what I wore on Day 1 of the fest. My friend and I took part in the 'Styling Competition' and came in IInd ! 

That white tag on my cardigan (which I forgot to remove), is my group number for this event I participated in. Kindly excuse :P 

I've worn these black Charlotte Russe boots to death this season and I don't think they have enough left in them to last me another season :( they just seem to go with everything + keep me warm in Delhi winters!

Semester II

It's back to school for me and this is what I wore on my first day of semester II, it was a chilly day, which meant 2 sweaters + a coat!

Since I mentioned coats, I thought I'd share a little something about :

TRENCH COATS

 The trench coat was first developed during the 1st World War after which it became an item of clothing for the British Army. Invention of the trench coat is claimed by both Burberry and Aquascutum, with Aquascutum's claim dating back to the 1850s. But Burberry still makes some of the best and most beautiful trench coats!

Mixing Prints

I love the idea of mixing prints; checks and animal, polka dots and stripes or abstract and floral!

Though I feel its not always easy to mix right, so, I started small and simple, sticking to a basic colour palette and similar colour tones with my animal print scarf and check jeggings.

I can feel the chill

I can totally feel the chill in Delhi, winter is almost here!

This is just a simple outfit i put on for college the other morning. Its basic solid colours but I feel the glittery border on the cardigan and the jewelled ballet flats give it a shiny and girl-y look.

As you may have noticed (or will notice over several future posts) i love belting...almost everything!

The empire line and waist is the slimmest part of most women's bodies and waist-cinching stuff flatters just that and gives a cute twist to any regular outfit.

The cutest charms...butterflies, feathers and swirly designs.
