Fall Uniform

Jeans, boots and blazers are pretty much my fall uniform; so comfortable chic!

I've been loving bold red lips lately (as you can also see HERE; my favorite shade is 'Passion by Chanel'. I feel that red lips add the perfect touch of glam to an otherwise casual look without going over-the-top.
The trick to doing bold lips is to keep the rest of your make up soft and understated; some winged eye-liner in black/brown and light blush on the cheeks, and you're good to go!

Friends and Photos

I was organizing the folders on my laptop the other day, and, came across these photographs of myself clicked by my fabulously talented and dearest friend  Aanchal Malhotra almost 3 years ago when we decided to do a spontaneous photo-shoot with a few friends!
Aanchal is now a Masters student in Art and Design; specializing in Print Making at Grad school in Canada. She's one of those insanely creative and talented people who is just a bundle of surprises and an absolute pleasure to be around; it doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous to :)
(check out her website and blog and you'll know what I mean).
I miss you Aanchal! Come home soon!

Bag-It in Red

I've been loving the post-man style bags and satchels for months and thanks to a few lovely friends, I finally got myself one! It reminds me a little of the Karlas Closet for Coach Clutch, which I've absolutely adored since the first day I saw it!

Also wearing Chanel Passion on my lips; the perfect red lipstick which I feel every girl must own!

Lavender Layers

I like dressing up for fall and winter wayyy more than summers; simply because there's SO much more to wear and play around with in these seasons; boots, tights, jackets, shrugs, cardigans, caps, gloves, and, I hope you haven't forgotten about my obsession with layering. Maybe I was meant to live in a colder country; my skin and hair also seem to behave themselves much more in these seasons!
In short, though I really enjoyed it, I'm very happy that summer is finally over!

Wearing my new black suede boots from Benetton; definitely going to be a closet staple for me this season, and, a staement necklace which was a Birthday gift from a dear friend.

I hope everyone is having a good week!

Festive Prints

With Diwali just around the corner (tomorrow to be precise), festivity is definitely in the air here in India. I love festivities (give a girl a reason to shop/dress-up and ofcourse she's happy) and I could see the influence of Indian prints and accessories in my outfits without even having to try.

I've never been to fond of gold jewellery and accessories but lately I've developed a keen sense of liking towards them.
I'm wearing the awesome bag sent to me by Ketchup Bags and Style-Pile in this post,I just love the purple and gold combination!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Diwali!
Be cool and don't burst crackers!

Hello Sunshine

Incase you remember my pretty yellow fabric Brooch from HERE and another one from HERE, I'll have you know that I love using craft ideas to add an individualistic touch to my outfits. I've always been a little craft-sy and love to indulge in the occasional DIY.

Nothing works better for an easy lunch outfit like the classic off-white and blue denims combo. I added a pop of colour to brighten up this classic combination but the kept the entire look clean by teaming it with nude heels.

I must admit that I'm obsessed with the gold watch(s) teamed with multiple bracelets/bangles look; I've been wearing it non-stop for a while now!

Fashion Week SS 2012' : Rahul Mishra

On Tuesday evening, after class, I headed to The Wills India Fashion Week - Spring-Summer 2012' organized by FDCI at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

My friends and I were lucky enough to catch the Rahul Mishra show just in time!

The collection in one word was - Beautiful! ; elegant, wearable and feminine. He used a lot of translucent fabrics combined with stunning detailing and embroidered motifs. The collection had an ethereal yet sexy feel and the show-stopper Gauhar Khan looked stunning in his ensembles.

The skirts and jumpsuits were my favorite and I so wish I could own atleast one of his creations! His eye for detail and the finishing in his garments is really amazing.

Knotted Florals

This is another one of my college outfits, today was my last day of college before 2 weeks of break! You cannot imagine how happy and exited I am to have holidays! Let's just say I really needed it!

Also, today is my Birthday :D
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me :)
22 years ago, I was born on this day!

I love teaming slightly short skirts with sheer stockings to give the outfit a perfect balance of chic yet appropriate. It's another reason why I'm so glad Fall is here - Bring out the stockings!

 Wearing:
American Outfitters floral shirt, Forever 21 skirt, Accessorize neck-piece, Omega watch, Charlotte Rusee flats

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
Have a little extra fun for me since it's my birthday ;)

Polka Dots

I wore this outfit to college this week, it's my last semester at NIFT, and I can't believe I'll be leaving in a few months! Such a scary/exciting thought!
It's always like that when you're about to end one phase of your life and start another right?

I love the girly feel this outfit has, the blush polka-dot blouse with ruffles on the shoulders and lovely detailing at the front + my favorite trend of the season; the pleated skirt ! (also worn HERE and HERE)

I don't know if you've noticed, but, I've been playing around a little with the type/style of photography I do on the blog, I'd love to know what you guys think of it, did you like the old style better or is this more fun?

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Weekend!
