Knotted Florals

This is another one of my college outfits, today was my last day of college before 2 weeks of break! You cannot imagine how happy and exited I am to have holidays! Let's just say I really needed it!

Also, today is my Birthday :D
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me :)
22 years ago, I was born on this day!

I love teaming slightly short skirts with sheer stockings to give the outfit a perfect balance of chic yet appropriate. It's another reason why I'm so glad Fall is here - Bring out the stockings!

 Wearing:
American Outfitters floral shirt, Forever 21 skirt, Accessorize neck-piece, Omega watch, Charlotte Rusee flats

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
Have a little extra fun for me since it's my birthday ;)

Pleats Repeat

I think it goes without saying; I really like the Pleated Skirt trend! (considering I bought the exact SAME skirt in 2 colours :P) They'e just so pretty!
I love the sheer black on this skirt and pairing it with this floral top from H & M and my trusty tan belt was a no-brainer.

Say Hello! to my little doggy 'Joey'; she is the cutest and most hyper little white thing ever! (and she likes to sit next to me while I'm being clicked).

Wearing: Pleated skirt and belt: thrifted, floral top: H & M, Flats: Charlotte Russe

Pleats Please

I've been lusting after pleated skirts for a while now, and I finally thrifted this beauty a few weeks ago. I wore this to college today and felt dreamy and girly all day!
The length and air-y feel make it super wearable as well; this is one look I'm definitely going to be wearing a lot this season.

Wearing:
Skirt and top: thrifted, belt: gift, beaded ballet flats: Bangkok flea market, bangles: thrifted + old

Since the skirt is a 100% polyester and the pleats are heat-set when it's manufactured, its really hard to iron it at home and remove the wrinkles! and careless me crushed the pretty little thing up :P

I hope everyone is having a great week! the weekend is near :)

Back in Yellow!

Hello!
I must admit; I missed you guys so much! and it feels good to be back :) I'm finally done with my summer internship (which was so great, I learnt some crazy-cool stuff about fabrics and the garment industry in India).

Now, I'm working on styling and costumes for a Musical Dance Production titled 'Juliet Must Die' by The Yellow Brick Project to be staged in Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi on the 13th and 14th of August!
It's our third year of putting up a musical and this year is going to be (hopefully) bigger, better and more glamorous than ever!
I'll update you guys when tickets become available, but you can also check out their Facebook page and stay updated with what's happening behind the scenes HERE.
It's a bunch of young and talented people coming together so it's always crazy fun!

Now, for the outfit!
Shorts + Comfy Cotton Knits = Summer Bliss

 Wearing:
Printed racer-back: thrifted, yellow pullover: mom's, shorts: Bangkok, ruffled sandals: random store in Manhattan Mall, belt: thrifted

I hope everyone is having a good week!
See you soon and thanks for stopping by,

Atleast I Tried

Remember when I promised myself and you guys that I'd do a nice outfit for work this week, well, this was my attempt to that, or should I say failed attempt. I know what you're thinking; 'this is a cute outfit' (why thank you, I think it is to :P). But, minutes into wearing it and clicking pictures, it dawned upon me that it may not be very 'work appropriate', atleast for the office I go to. The cropped blazer and ballet flats were a failed attempt to formal-ness (there I go making up words again, it's a talent I tell you). So, I changed into something boring in the next 30 seconds to avoid being late in my first week of work (I wore jeans and a long cotton top if you may know :S) .
But then, atleast I tried, right?

Wearing:
Dress: Envy Me, cropped blazer: Hong-Kong, belt: Bangkok, flats: Linking Road, Bombay, Hobo bag: Accessorize, bangles: thrifted

I tried the look with the belt over the blazer (above) as well as under the blazer (first photo); which one do you like better?

This dress is 100 % polyester and I'm not a very synthetic fabric person, but the print (Hello! Floral!) and the beautiful ruffle detailing along the side made it to yummy to resist buying!

Grey Matter

This is an outfit I wore a really long time ago, but somehow never posted (I wonder why).
I really enjoy wearing pretty dresses when the weather permits and I'm looking forward to buying and wearing lots of Maxi Dresses this season.
What's your favorite dress style?  mini, maxi, solid, printed, striped, ruffled or...???

Wearing:
A 100% thrifted outfit; it's true, from the jelly flats to the puffed sleeved blazer; it's all thrifted!
Flats: Bangkok, dress: Delhi, blazer and pendant: Hong-Kong

I love the lines and silhouette of this blazer and its 100% cotton which makes it perfect to wear over dresses in spring!
