Obsessed with Florals

I just have one thing to say, and if you've been seeing my recent posts you may have already figured it out- I'm totally obsessed with floral prints right now! Florals were a big trend this winter, but there's just something about wearing pretty floral prints in the summer that's gotten me addicted!

I went flea market shopping with my girlfriends this week (nothing like some pre-exam retail therapy to set the mood eh ? :P) and everything I bought was, you guessed it - floral!

Wearing:

While between-studying-browsing (and, I do a LOT of that!) I found this awesome awesome website called Pinterest, it's crazy-addictive and super fun! you should check it out! I'm sure you'll find something to inspire you there :)

What Would a Nerd Wear?

During exams, I tend to live in my over-sized spectacles (which I do otherwise to actually) and my dressing takes a comfortable and functional turn . This is what I would wear on a typical exam day; no-fuss but still belted! :P

(Don't judge my dirty boots; my pet dog Fifi chewed them up a little + it was raining that day)

Talking about 'What Would a Nerd Wear', I recently came across an awesome blog by the same name; it's an archive of grad school style of/by a student/teacher named Tania based in the US, studying British literature (find it HERE) . It made me realize that we all have a little nerd in us and I quite like the nerd in me :P

Sunday's Summer Love

Today was a lazy Sunday, I didn't feel like getting out of bed in the morning and when I finally did I realized that I'm missing summer a little, though I'm exited about winter coming because of all the boots and scarfs and jackets I'll get to wear :)

So, when i was going to the local mall with my brother to run errands I decided to dress up as summer-y as I could (hoping people wouldn't think I'm crazy!)

 

Floral prints, ruffled skirts and dresses, pretty pastel hues and puffed sleeve t-shirts have been my favourites this summer and this outfit totally showed that.

Wearing:

Ruffled skirt: thrift, puffed sleeve t-shirt: Forever 21, broad belt and baby pink ballet flats: Bangkok, Bag: Salvatore Ferragamo (mom's), flower earrings and silver bangles: gift

When its a lazy Sunday, one doesn't really make the effort to do their hair, so i just side part it, twist the sides and clip them at the back and then use a clutch/rubber band to make a loose ponytail.
